Your privacy is our utmost priority. SplitIcy is built with a strict privacy-first architecture and minimal data collection.
1. Local Data Storage
All your installment records, subscriptions, accounts, categories, and payment history are stored on your device inside a local SQLite database fully encrypted with AES-256 (SQLCipher). The encryption key is generated locally on your device and stored inside the hardware-backed system keychain (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). We have no access to your local database.
2. Optional Authentication & Zero-Knowledge Cloud Sync
SplitIcy works offline without requiring registration. If you optionally sign in with Google or Apple ID to enable cloud synchronization, our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) stores only your email address and a unique account identifier (UUID).
Before any financial record, category, or account is synchronized to the cloud or exported to a backup file, it is encrypted directly on your device using AES-256-CBC with HMAC-SHA256 authentication (container format: ICY1.). Our servers store only sealed cryptographic containers and cannot read the titles, merchants, or amounts of your payments.

3. Zero Tracking & Zero Advertising
SplitIcy does not track your personal financial transactions, contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, and never sells, rents, or shares your data with third parties.
4. In-App Purchases
Subscriptions (SplitIcy Pro) and one-time purchases (Lifetime unlock, Tip Jar) are processed securely by Google Play and Apple App Store. Purchase entitlements are verified using anonymous identifiers via RevenueCat. We never access or store your payment card details.
5. User Control & Data Deletion
You maintain full ownership of your data. You can export, reset, or permanently delete all local and cloud data at any time in the app settings (Profile → Data & Cloud). Detailed deletion instructions and web-based deletion requests are available on our Data Deletion page.
